Ive been having issues with the oil filter adapter leaking exessively from around the copper crush washer and cant get it to seal right. I just got ahold of an adapter off of a 98 ranger and it appears to be identical except for the fact that an o ring is used instead of the washer and the entire center bolt assembly is a seemingly better design. The block mounting surface is the same on both but are the threads in the block the same? I just had the one off of the 2.9 a little bit ago and they seem similar but i cant be absolutely sure. Does anyone know?
