oil cooler on a 2.9?

I came across an article in the tech library about installing an oil cooler.

The write-up does not say anything specific about the 2.9, and I dont know off hand what oil filter the 2.9 uses.

Anyone know if this works with the 2.9, or only the 2.8 mentioned?

The 2.9l uses the PH8A/FL1A filter, just like most other Ford engines.
