Alright, I finally got it done!
And, YES, that filter was troublesome. Finally got it out though. It was easier for me personally to take the filter out by the top. Oil filter sent oil everywhere on the ground too.

Horrible design...
BUT... Taking the actual oil out and putting the new oil in was a piece of cake.
My oil was dirty as hell, and it had only been in there for 3500 miles...
I'm guessing the dealership I bought it at used a cheap filter... or they used shitty ass oil... whatever it is I hope it doesn't mean there is anything wrong with my engine....
Thanks again guys for all the tips, nothing can beat the first time experience, but you guys helped out a lot.
Let's just say I will be better prepared next time(I bought a shorter oil catch bucket/pan cuz I had to use some boxes since my buckets were too tall, and I bought one of those wrench-off oil filter thingys to aid in grabbing and turning the filter).
