Alright, so tonight, on my way home, I was following behind a newer red Merc. Sable, and a blew a tire. No big deal, stuff like that happens. BUT HE KEPT DRIVING! I was like, Oh man, so stayed back a little bit. Then like who minutes later, another tire blew, at still driving at like 55mph. After a few more minutes, the hit a side barrier, SUPER hard, missing it head on by inches, and that swerved him over 2 lanes to the left, got back in the right, and still, KEPT DRIVING, after speeds of 70-80, in a 55, and I was on the phone with 911 the whole time, he is all over the two lane highway, I'm so thankful no cars where coming the other direction. He tries to turn onto another street, swings his car around, and stops in a ditch. facing the opposite direction. I pull over and get out, he says he is okay, (all the passenger side windows out, car smashed to hell), stumbles out, falls 3+ times, and then another driver and I get him onto my tailgate, after police reports, he gets arrested for DUI.

He was like 70, totally smashed, with D.V. plates, kinda sad, but he could have killed SO many peope!!!

Sorry, just had to vent.

Red = The 1st and 2nd tires blew
Green = Hit the wall.
Pink = Finally crashed.

that isn't exactly a short trip on 2 blow tires. That was what, about 6 to 8 miles?

He must've had some freakishly high or low tire pressures in order do that! Then again, he was plastered, so I doubt he'd noticed an odd sound.

I think you were sleep walking and must have been watching Americas Wildest Police Chases before you fell asleep.....:icon_rofl:

I have seen the aftermath of some wild crashes caused by drunks in my years as a volunteer for the fire department. But I have never seen a drunk actually crack up. That would have been a good one to catch on video.

that is a burned into your brain reminder to never drink and drive. i am happy neither you or anyone else was hurt or killed.

maybe he was late for his plane flight... oops he missed the airport!

glad no one was hurt in the end.

Wow. It's rediculous how many people still insist on getting behind the wheel when drunk.

We recently lost, not one, but 3 teens just 100ft away from my door. They were walking home and were hit by a drunk driver driving a mazda 3. The driver never stopped, and when he got to the "T" intersection about a mile away, he just drove through the empty property....hit a bump which sent him airborne and he hit a house about 8 feet up the wall. When the owner of the house came out to see what was going on, the driver was trying to start the car. The cops figure he was doing about 110mph when he hit the wall. The bar he just left lost their licence to sell and is now closed, but the driver got out on bail...go figure. :icon_confused:

My grandfather was also killed by a drunk driver. The driver came across the line and hit him head-on. The drunk was in a Galaxy 500 and my grandfather was in a Belair. This happened when my dad was 11 years old...there were no laws against DUI at the time, so the guy got off with a slap on the wrist. 5 years later, he got behind the wheel again while pissed to the gills and killed someone else.

Something needs to be done about these idiots. The law lets them off wayyyyy too easy.

that sucks!! once i was ridding with my bro, suddenly this drunk a-hole almost hitted us, he stops a few meter ahead, and he has a kid on the trucks bed!!, the shitty nissan he had almost roll over, cuz he hitted the side walk and then bounces to the divider. when he stopped to reach the poor scared kid we stopped and my bro pulled the guy through the window and punched him in the face while i went the other side and took the keys, we waited there until cops arrived, i handled the keys, the cops said good job guys and the drunk got a lil more punch action :D thats what cops do to drunks here in Honduras, God i love my POS country!!!

a few months ago 4 drunks in a nissan pathfinder almost ended up iside our farm, they got out of the road and lost control of the car, misssed the fence by a few inches, again we called cops, but this time they were violent drunks, so cops called our own version of SWAT, the COBRA squad, they came and kicked some drunk ass!!!
thats what u need to do!!
this guys...

About the tires blowing.....it is hard to tell what he ran over or hit before you got behind him. The tires might have been already destroyed just still holding air. My grandfather was also killed by a drunk driver when my Dad was 3 yrs old. Like a dumb**s I did some drinking and driving until I got a DUI....I was thankful they stopped me cause I doubt I wouldve made it home....no more drinking and driving for me :) ....a 6'4" guy on a moped is not a pretty sight either. All I can say is that God was very merciful to me even when I did the wrong things and kept me from killing myself,someone else or going to prison.
