Off the trail...

90's stuff is dropping hard around me now.
I actually see more 90's stuff then i do early 00's stuff. 04-08 F150's are about non exisitant.

90’s stuff around here seems to only come out on nice days, or be total rot-boxes that are barely duct taped together.

Im guessing our total lack of emission testing and inspections keep things around longer. Isnt NJ pretty strict on that stuff?

95 and earlier have no inspection at all. 96+ is just OBD-II plug in looking for a CEL.

Broken frames and sloppy chains

Usually a lot of nice looking ones at u pull it.

Usually missing engines as some sucker hopes they are better than what they have.

It ended up being free according to Rory. Someone with a reputation for not following "Tread Lightly" principles put in a low bid for the job after Rory had already done the legwork and bid it to the insurance companies. So he bid to fo it gor free so it would be done right. There were a lot of hoops to jump through legally to get equipment in to that location. He had to leave the official roads in BLM land and then cross onto another organization's land. And extract the vehicle with as little damage to the environment as possible. He cites that one reason they stayed low in that wash was so that after a couple rains, any trace of them being there would be washed over.

It's important to follow the rules, stay on official trails, etc. We just lost over 300 miles of offroading trails out that way. And, often those losses happen because of careless indivuals.
Imagine totalling out a big pickup like that. And new too! The thing looks too new to be paid for.
