Odometer works sometimes

well the title sums it up, I noticed the problem around christmas time, my odometer stops working, spedo works and everything else works except the odometer. I am pushing a bit over 235k not a hell of a lot of miles, but I want to keep everything in working order, and keep ol' girl running down the road, plus makes life alot easier for milage payments from my company, and oil changes. So any ideas?

BTW its a 95 explorer xlt 4.0L stock
