How much more would you be willing to pay?
For me that like a year or a year or a half of driving. On a 15/ 20 year old truck ( most trucks with those kind of miles are going to be around there anyway.) that means almost nothing.....
At least 1000$.
I say 1000$ because when I first started driving, complete shitboxes that had a fresh inspection (but probably wouldn't take another one next year) usually sold for about 1000$. You'd have a legal vehicle for a year.
A few people I know would only buy vehicles like that... Run them for a year and then sell them off once the sticker runs out for as close to that 1000$ as they could get. Up this way, it's pretty easy to find something mechanically sound, but is going to lose the battle with rust. Pick a good one and it won't need anything besides an oil change or two while you own it.
These days those sorts of vehicles go for 2k minumum.. more If you want a truck.
