so did you have to pull your dash to get to that wiire

No, didn't need to pull the dash, just the glove box. Pull the glove box open, then push the sides of it in and it should fold the rest of the way down. If you didn't empty it first, it will be emptied now, all over the floor. (I found this out without thinking first.)

The CC module was located up near the glove box light. I found it best to remove the bulb while working in there as it gets quite hot.
