2.3L ('83-'97) O2 sensor ( i have a 4.0 but shouldnt matter)

So I have both of my plugs but previous owner removed the wires from the engine bay to the o2 sensors and I can't seem to find them anywhere I was wondering if I could cut the wires on the o2 sensor and plug the plug side into the plug in the engine bay and then put the o2 sensor in then just fun wire from the plug to the sensor i do plenty of electrical and this would be no problem for me but I was curious if it'd hurt the vehicle at all

O2 sensors come with the 4 wires attached and the round connector to plug into the trucks harness
Part number differences are the length of the attached wires, usually in 6" to 24" lengths
1986-2011 Rangers all used Narrow band heated O2s

Bosch was what Ford used as OEM

A Bosch 15719 with 24i00 0m610 Long Cable+Plug is good to replace any Ford 4WireNarrowBand Sensor.

Only thing to add to this is in '90 Ford switched to a 4 wire sensor, same connector and pinout they just added a ground for the heater... adds an extra fun step when you have a '90 built in '89 that had a 3 wire sensor and replace it with a 4 wire... not that I know from experience
