O/D light flashing???

i have a 2000 ranger sport with a 3.0L and the overdrive off light just began to flash what is the problem if any on could answer thing it would be a great help

The transmission is telling you something is wrong and is throwing codes. Plug in a code reader and find out which codes it's throwing, then get back to us.
