Noticeable window frame to body gap :(

The passenger side is fine, drivers door needs some help.
What's involved in tightening up the upper window-frame?

The rest of the door is pretty close, with regard to fitment.

I would say your hinges are worn. But you may be able to adjust them. Top hinge towards the front of the truck, bottom to the back. Then you may have to adjust the strike plate because the latch will have moved up.

I just took another look. It may be that the gap needs closed towards the cab. Two ways to do that...
Adjust the hinges on the door so top goes toward cab.
And old school, actually bend the door frame. Roll down the window, stuff a 2x4 at bottom of door, push top in towards where gap is.

Yeah, I think the window frame is bent be it from an attempted breakin or someone locking the keys in it and trying that method... I mean the body line at the rear top of the fender looks good...

I've done as dumb as just latching the door while open to space it out and just push on the top of the window frame, I think this one is going to need more than that though and you'll probably need to resort to lumber or something

I have an apt. this Friday with an autobody guy.

Autobody guy took care of me
He felt the same about the possibility of an attempted forced entry.

The previous worn/torn weatherstripping didn't allow any daylight, so it wasn't as noticeable before.

@alwaysFlOoReD I had to do the same thing on my driver's door and worked great. I need to do a little tweaking on passenger door.
