don't go sayin u know all there is to know about things dude ur ranger prob only goes to 55k rpm cause it's a POS i have a 2.3 and it goes to 65k rpm or would u like to tell me it only goes to 3k rpm and another thing buy ur woman a razor for god sakes she's scareing the hell outa me i seen mountain beast that look better.....................................

i didnt say i knew everything. im just saying the redline on my 89 2.9 is 55K, its the same on my 90 2.3, and none of my rangers are POSes. yes they sometimes have issues but what truck dont. and who the hell are you to be talkin about someones g/f? at least mine helps work on mine and wheels with me.

the place where the red starts on the tach is and the actual redline of the engine are completely different... a 2.3L will run at 6k all day if you want it to without hurting anything, the factory rev limiter is set at 6200 where it will physically stop running the engine and just hold it there...

I thought that the rev limiter on the 2.9 was set at 5500, but I guess I was mistaken too, but the only time I've driven one was on a test drive in '99 about a week before getting my ranger...

I got my 99 for "Free" ,but father-in law gave it to me ,he had no use for it and it is a 99 with 60000 miles on it and not a scratch or dent (garaged kept ) and not driven to much .But Great Find,Cannot beat that kinda deal !I just have to figure out some things I want to do witn this truck ,No dirt truck just street driven !
