stiluv!! Considering a V8 swap in the near future. One Problem, I can build lots of cool shit but I'm not much of a mechanic. Also, I like my doubler and I'm too cheap to buy another one. My question is, if I do a v8 swap with a 5 speed will my doubler bolt up or will I have to get a 205 doubler? My guess would be that I have to drop some more cash on a whole new setup. One of my good friends just happens to have a totaled 99 Mountaineer. engine only has 76,000 miles on it. I'm gonna buy the thing even if it has to sit in my yard for a couple of years.

DO IT!!!! your current doubler setup wont work with out an adapter and even then im not sure if the second case will hold up to the v8 bwals. and a 205 doubler only has a 4to1 crawl ratio. you can do a 208 205 setup though. triple stick v8 sasd ranger.... boner. dont let that mounty sit for years with some help the swap can be done in a weekend

Well I'll let you know how it goes. I've got a crazy schedule and WAY to many projects. But I really want to do it. I think I'm gonna wait till I blow up the 4.0 first though.

On another note. I have a big wheelin trip planed July 31- Aug 4 up in the sierras. Any one here that wants to go let me know. About 6 of my buddies are coming. Gonna be giving the new buggy a trial run hopefully.
