Nor Cal chat thread

Wes, do you still plan on doing leafs for your front end? I saw this and thought I would give you a heads up, didn't know if you already knew it though. http://77cj.littlekeylime.com/Dana44_2.htm
the wedges are part of the axle and there is no tube underneath, so you would have to cut out the wedges and then re-tube...

not all 44s are cast wedges tho. mine are welded on which means there is tube underneath. I believe most of the late 70s f250 ones are welded wedges which is the important part. Mine wont matter tho since Im doing C/O or air shocks with radius arms.

im currently stuck in the bay, doubt Ill be much help with it. I dont have the gas or time to take it very far...

thanks dayne. i also have a 72 hp 44 with drum. it has weld on wedges and 3/4 to axle tubes. im going to put 8 lug outters with disks on it.
tomorrow i have to go to colfax at 11pm to meet someone to pick up my new rims. anyone know of any wheeling out there to burn some time?
if so wanna join?

and about the banner im down for a road trip to get it with in a reasonable distance.

honestly the painting and mounting isnt a huge concern, just the metal work. I would be down as hell to drop 3 bills for a bumper like that for my ranger! we should make this happen.

Alright well ill have to look into it. I'm gettin pretty busy gonna be gone every weekend of march and most of february. I gotta check the price of steel cause i used just some stuff i had layin around for mine

Gotcha. If you are going to colfax already, do you want to swing by auburn and pick up some tires? or do you want to wait until we just meet up to do other swapping?

if you are going to colfax, from chicago park go down 174 towards colfax, and when you get up out of the canyon to where giovonis used to be take a left onto rollins lake road. go down to norton grade road and take a right (its like right after you go under that big pipe that goes over the road, and follow norton grade down until you get to carpenter way which immediately crosses over the tracks. right at the tracks there is a gnarly hill to go down. or keep going down the road for a few turns then you will see a dirt area on the left and you can mob all over back there. it goes under the freeway and then to a bunch of cool shit. the other place you could go is hard to find off iowa hill road so I wont go into looking for that lol. that spot off norton grade is only like 5-10 min off 174 and there is hella shit to play on tho. unless it all got closed off... I doubt it tho.

Jacked/Sorry!
