I think that having a ranger is more important than having 4x4. You should just buy my yellow ranger on the cheep, that way you can keep your ranger and have a 4x2 and 4x4.

Aren't those A-frame? This may be a stupid question, but how is that gonna be easier to build than a pre97 ranger or pre 94 or w.e explorer? Also, would you have more power with the explorer/ranger?

yes theyre a frame. not looking to SAS for a long time, want a reliable dd. that one i looked at only has 58k on it. id have the headgaskets done pretty soon to avoid their eventual failure.

If you're going to get a 4Runner, stick with the third gen (96-01) and the 3.4 engine. The first and second gens are getting old and harder to find without being all beat to shit with a million miles on them. The 22RE while somewhat reliable is completely lack luster in a 4Runner, and the 3.0 is just a piece of shit no matter what you do to it. The 2.7 in the third gen has quite a bit more power than the old 22RE, but the negligible difference in fuel mileage over the 3.4 is not worth the loss in power.
