non-tilt to tilt

so i got a steering column at a local yard for a good price today. i'm gonna try to swap it so i will have tilt wheel.

looks like it may be easy but at the same time somewhat labor intense.

i'll take pics and let everyone know what has to be done.

starting tomorrow.

I am interested...my 99 has no tilt wheel and it took me a while to get used to it.

my roommate has a 97 ranger exactly like mine, but without the tilt. because i am short, i have mine tilted all the way down. I hate driving her truck. Its weird how two 97 4wd, 4.0 rangers on 31" tires both with 5r55e autos can feel so different. it must be because hers is white and mine is red

Should be a fairly easy swap. Bottom of the dash, wires from ignition switch and the knuckle under the hood. Possibly some more connectors under the dash. Make sure you don't have the key with the transponder in it. If you do then you will need to changeout the tumbler and keep you old key.
