non tach cluster to tach cluster 83 ranger

Also i have a wtb ad up looking for a tach cluster and a member said thete is a difference between the 83-85 vs 86-88, he thought it was only some extra dummy lights can anyone else confirm this or know anymore about it

The later ones have more lights, I don't think they made a tach cluster for the earlier trucks anyway.

The earlier truck's dash panel had cutouts for something like four idiot lights (emiss, 4x4, brake and something else) the later trucks had one big cutout for in addition to others a check engine light.

Tach clusters also replaced two gauges with idiot lights to make room for the tach.
