Have a humming noise every once and a while under hood which is coming from right side under hood.It seems to go away when you give it gas. It usually happens at idle or coming done to idle. Heard it once when I had hood up but not sure where.Seems to be around air intake. Could it be the Air flow valve? Did clean it before by following instructions on this site.

It could be a leak from the intake or the vaccume hoses.

Replace your IAC Valve. It is located right on the side of the Intake. It making noises by your Air Filter. I had the same problem. You can try cleaning it first to see if that helps. Hope this help! ranger1999xlt

On my '99 when I cleaned and later had to replace my IAC it had to be positioned just right. I loosened the bolts and then moved the iac a little until it stopped humming. Hope it helps.
