No voltage to the IAC?

Good day people.

Well a few weeks ago the IAC on my truck buggered off. So I stole the IAC from the donor truck. It appeared to work and solved the problem.

So the truck starts acting up again but this time its acting like there's no choke at all.

Now. Just for shits and giggles I took apart the old IAC. It appears to work perfectly apply 12 volts dc and it clicks back and forth just like a solenoid should.

Then I put the Old IAC back on the truck and there's still no choke. I then pulled out the multimeter and checked voltage on the iac while the truck was stumbling along stone cold. There was 1.4- 2.1 volts dc. Just a tad low to be pushing a 12 volt solenoid.

The harness on the truck appears nice and clean the contacts i've pulled apart are all clean. Why is there such a low voltage on this and where should I be looking next?

Have you chased the wiring back to the computer? I'd check the diagram and find the IAC output at the computer harness and test it, then work towards the sensor to find the fault.
