I went out this morning and tried to start my 84 bII and it cranked over like normal, but no fire or pop nothing. Any suggestions?

No Start

It is getting gas and there is power to the coil. I am going to check for spark next. I will report back.

No Start

I ended up replacing the pick up coil and all is well.:icon_thumby:

No start?

I am back with my same problem no start. I am not getting a flashing signal to the coil from the distributor, just like the pick up coil is fried again. Only had new distributor installed for a day and same problem. Any suggestions on what tp look for?

It was just a loose screw for me one time; but don't over tighten - the parts just need good contact.
Get a manual - or on-line source - that shows the test points and methods. These are very simple systems and should be easy to trouble shoot - If the screws are tight :)
