I forgot to update this but the problem turned out to be the gear on the distributor broke. I ended up getting a new distributor and gear. He said he tried to heat up the gear but it would not come off the dist. He showed me all the shavings and peices of what was left with the gear and he wanted to guess its was still factory pieces from 92.
