No power from my 3.0

How do you clean a cat converter?

As Big Jim says, replace it if clogged. But you don't know if it's clogged or not. If you remove it you should be able to see light through it, none of the honeycomb should be blocked. You may be able to spray carb cleaner inside to remove some carbon but get some more opinions first. Just because it's a 93 does not mean it's bad. The one on a 92 vehicle I own is fine. Unless you burn oil or run rich for a long time it should quite a while, especially the OEM.

Did you check compression yet?

My 2001 3.0 was exactly the same way, Had no power, ran fine, but under hard acceleration it wouldn't gain speed. Took out the fuel filter which weighed like 2 pounds clogged crap, replaced it with new one and problem solved. Granted the truck is still underpowered but made a BIG improvement.
