No muffler affect after cat O2 sensor?

So I haven't been able to drive my '97 a whole lot since the muffler took a crap on i a few months ago but if memory serves the problem I am having started after that happend.

Here is what it is doing, When idling it surges and sometimes kills when you put it in gear. Then while driving at low speeds maintaining throttle you can feel it surge as well. It throws two codes one says O2 sensor circuit slow resoponse Bank 2 sensor 1, the other is System to lean bank 1.

Any help would be very very great

mine surges at times too but i was throwing a 1443
