It won't sound like rice unless you put a Resonator on it... Untill that it will sound like a crappy barly running Tractor at an idle and after that it will sound like a Toyota Tercel at the enduro with no exhaust using ALL 83HP@5000RPM to TRY to get around the track.
(The sound of a four cylinder, at the decible level of a 358Modified at 7000RPM)

lol.. im actually pretty content wit my set up. my magnaflow is breakin in pretty good. sounds sick right around 2700 rpms, pretty loud

i would recommend a manaflow xl muffler. little loud at a idle, but has a nice little rumble to it revving. i have a couple laying around still. pm me

My 2.3 sounds decent it just has the cat and about a foot of pipe turned down to the ground. Sounds good when it hits rev limiter and it does that a lot.

I got a 2.3 with a street series magnaflow dumped out the side, sounds good winding it out, but im changing the exhaust to a flowmaster single in-dual out muffler soon

Really not happy with my magnaflow either. Just got it last week. Sounds great at Idle
(600RPM) but any higher=RICE. I'm thinking that I might go back and just get a flow 40 like everybody else that has a vehicle, and maybe a resonator. And I still need to figure out how to tighten my header flange so when I hit the gas it doesnt sound like a rasp against the end of a metal tube.

i have a flow 44 series and i love the thing - went to a 2.5" piping though; i think the diameter size helps keep the tone down. It has an amazing idle note, extremely unique and quiet. On the road up to 3,000 RPM, its low and impressive sounding, then from there up it just opens right up..past 5,000 RPM all i can hear is the scream of my engine though
