On my 92 Ranger All of the backlighting for the gauges and the AC/Heater controls, I've looked around for a fues that would control those and I cant find anything that would go to the instrument lighting.

All of the gauges work as they should, and the aftermarket stereo works as it should.

I allready installed a new headlight switch thinking that might be my issue because the original one seemed to be a little loose but that made no differece.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Matt

Check for a pwer distribution box under the hood... Are your parking lights and taillights working? Cause I had that problem when I crossed a wire and popped a fuse in the pwr dist. box in the engine bay (the dash lights, parking lamps, and taillights were all out.) I looked for everything fuses and bulbs little did I know that my 99 was not nearly as simple as my 84...

Check for a box under the hood, It may have a popped fuse that could solve your problem?

i recommend checking the fuse for them, it will be with Running lights for the tails as well, if they are out, and the fuses keep blowing remoove the trailer wiring harness if you have one. it caused a short out in my lighting, and the harness, if you have one in located on the drivers side in the bumper area near the rear tail.

Also check the power distribution box under the hood, theses are all possibilities

On my '93, the same thing happened. I haven't owned the truck long, but when i looked into it, i actually found that every light was burned out. I replaced about 10 194 bulbs total, and now they work great.
