No Crank

I feel really dumb, but i cant figure out why i cant get the truck to turn over with the key.
I am doing a 4.0 swap in to my 87. i can jump the solenoid and the truck will turn over and i can start it. what am i missing?

Well the switch at the clutch petal has been broken for a long time, i am to lazy to fix it so i just jumped it.
