Nissan Frontier Pro-4X

Some of that stuff they could have gotten in on a trade dirt cheap just to do whatever with the plan of running into the ground.

The plow truck smells that way.

Toyota doesn't make anything like a Transit in the US that I am aware of so it isn't like they have anything that could do that instead.

I do agree though... imports do not like roadsalt/chemicals. Parts availability here in the sticks is very lacking as well.
Those would be believable excuses except that they bought the plow truck and van new, another member of their dealer group sells Fords. Toyota doesn't build a 3/4 ton truck because they know what would happen to them in the hands of contractors, commercial snow plowers, and loggers.

Or because it's not a market they're interested in?

Your prejudice is on display again.

Most of the commercial plow guys here run 90's half ton gm...

The Frontiers are solid. Until the current refresh, it didn't change seemingly forever.

Every damn auto parts store near me uses them for part delivery vehicles. I really like what they did with the new one. I test-drove one at the dealer when I was getting my truck serviced. If the refresh had been done a few years earlier, I could have seen myself with one.

Supposedly O'Reilly's is switching to Rangers now.

Per our driver anyway, he is fussing for a Ranger FWIW lol
