Hi,
I've read some of the other posts about coolant leaks at the back of the engine. Mine is dripping from where the rear main seal is.... So apparantly it is coming from just over that area. My question is do you think it is a Freeze plug or would the heater core leak outside the truck with no steam inside the car? I also noticed that the plastic coolant bottle was empty--but that, of course is up front--so I doubt it is cracked. If I let it set for a day a get a 5 inch puddle just under the RMS. Suggestions?

You need to spend a little more time under that ride looking for where the coolant appears on the engine and not just looking at the floor..
I have had ford headgaskets leak.. I took the valve cover off and checked the local head bolts for tightness..found ONE that was not to specs.. Tightned it and the leak stopped forever.
Your leak could be any number of things that allow the puddle. WE can't find the leak from here.. YOU must find the leak or take it to a shop and PAY somebody to look closely at YOUR engine..

Thanks for the recommendations! I was under there bleeding the slave (Sat nite) and really couldn't see where it was coming from. I may have to lay on top of that motor and see if I can feel the back of those cylinder heads in search of this leak. Thanks again! Will post an update once I find the leak...
