Newbie question about a 1354 with electric shift.

The truck has manual lock hubs. The shift motor is gone. Not just broken but missing . Can I shift the T case manually into 4 wheel high and engage the hubs as needed? I am a Grand wagoneer guy. If you did this with a NP 229 T case, you would ruin the viscous coupler. It would only be for the winter. TIA

yes you can, thats what i did all last winter as needed and never had a problem, just make sure to unlock the hubs before spring....

haha yeah. i deffinantly wouldnt need 4x4 down there.

they sell a device just for this but you have to roll under truck every time you want to shift. there are plans out for cutting hole in floor and making it manual. or just get a used motor from pull a part $15.00

or just swap a manual in and not have to ever worry about it again.
