Whats up guys!
Well I had been wanting a Ranger for a long while, an actually had been hassling a friend of mine to sell me his, since he was no longer using it. (He's a big boy, and blew out his knee when he jumped out of the truck one day) After a yr or so, an constant talks with my friend Tony, he scored a job at Ford dealership in Victoria, TX an needed cash for relocation. From 1 day to another he dropped the price substantially an i could not pass on the deal.. I finally got the Ranger i wanted, an loaded with goodies to boot.
Ive been registered with a few Ranger forums for awhile now, as Ive been lurking for a good deal on a used one, now i got my truck, an time to research, learn, an make new life long friends..
Specs : 1998 Ford Ranger Ext Cab 4.0HO 4x4
Mods : RCD 6" Lift, 3'' Body Lift, Yukon 4.88 Gears F/R, Aussie Locker, 35" Mickey Thompson MTZ, Eagle Alloys 15x8 wheels, Manuel Locking Hubs, Eddie Bauer Seats, Explorer center console, & Edge rubber floor (I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff)
I picked it up on a Thurs, an it didn't start since it had been sitting for just about 2yrs (Fuel pump). So Sat. came and i hit up my local auto parts store got my a new fuel pump, drained the old fuel, put it all back in, charged the battery, and VROOM! She fired right up..
Drove her around the block an all seemed well.. Cold A/C worked so that was definitely a plus
Drove it to work the next day an she ran great.. Washed her up an waited for Sunday afternoon..
Sunday me an a local friend hit up our local watering hole and got the trucks a little dirty Pics below...

Then this happen..
So called it a day LOL Then tues as i was driving home from work the drivers side axle broke
either way its been ordered an i should have it fixed by the weekend to visit the beach or mud again on Sunday..
Future Mods :
- Full Tune up & Maintence (All Fluids & Brakes)
- Remove all stickers
- Gonna lower the coils about 1in or so
- Install (2) 10in JL Audio W3s w/amp, 6x9s all @, an Double Din
- 04 Edge front end & Rear Bumper
- New 2011 Fender flares
- Baja Bar with Quad PIAA light setup
- New Windshield
- New Hubs
- New Shift linkage
- Strip & Redo Tint 5%
- Rhino Liner the entire truck
- Manuel TC conversion
- Possibly look into a SAS kit (I know its not easy)
- An if i keep it long enough possibly a Diesel swap
