New traxxas raptor

has anyone bought one? It's based on the slash platform I think,I've never driven a slash but I've read the cog is high and dosent handle as well as other SC trucks..I've driven an HPI blitz..but I'm considering either the traxxas SVT Raptor or an associated SC10. Any input?

I worked.at a hobby shop for two years. Unless your.12 years old. You dont want traxxas. Sc10 or a losi ten-t is.gonna perform alot better

I have had sveral rcs and I loved my Jato..... it could handle the high speeds and the high jumps.... wished I would have kept it.....

IMO i would go with traxxas i own several and all work great and parts are plentiful and cheap....and for 274.00 RTR At tower hobbies, i too am getting the raptor just have the water proof motor and ESC to put in my RC crawler and i will upgrade to brushless motor and ESC later...HTH...

The traxxas raptor is something I have been looking at purchasing as well.
