ok, i have a 88 ext. cab 4x4 ranger with 2.9 in it. I was planing to put the coils off my wracked 89 f150 to lift the front. Then put the rear leaf springs off a 92 explorer. Can amyone help me with this project. like with i need new shocks an stuff like that???

you shouldnt worry too much, you'll maybe get what 1.5" of lift?? just measure the ext. length of the shocks. see how far they will go. shouldnt need anything else, maybe some new bolts for the leaf springs. You will need a 1-1/8"(i believe) wrench to get the coil nut off.

I think you should be fine everyelse, but i could be mistaken.

ok thinks, but over all this is a good cheap lift to help me clear my 31s. an i heard people talkin bout havin to some stuff to the explorer leafs.

i did a lift somewhat along the lines of what you plan on doing. If i remember from the tech library f-150 coils will give you 3"s on a b2 but idk what that would be on a ranger. With the f-150 coils you'll problly have alot of trouble getting your front aligned, if it's possible that is. They are also going to make your ride really stiff. As for the rear the explorer leafs might do the trick buy you will probably need to weave your stock leafs and the explorer leafs. You might also look at putting in a set of chevy drop shackles for the rear( they drop chevys but lift rangers) ,but you wont get the same flex as with the explorer leafs.
