New tires - Cooper Discoverer STT

Im running the 33x12.5x15 on my Explorer. They do run quiet for a mud tire. When you get them rotated, go front to back. If you switch left and right they scream on the highway. I rotated mine in an X pattern, 2 days later I switched them back.

Love my Coopers. Running the same trails with trucks on BFG KM and KM2. Mine have no holes, seen 3 BFG's get holes tore in the sidewalls.

When i rotate i will be crossing the fronts to the back and moving the backs straight forward. Just something Ive always done. Seems to work pretty good. Hopefully i wont have the same issue with the noise. I was thinking about getting the 33X11.50s but i was unsure of whether or not they would fit well. Maybe next time though!:icon_hornsup:

Truck looks good. Wise choice on the STT, it was the best set of tires I've ever owned.

As for the cab lights, DON'T DO IT! They look extremely stupid and out of place on a Ranger. Besides, Why would you wanna drill 15 holes in your perfectly good roof...?

how is the noise with those tires? My buddy had some on his Chevy and they howled like banshees. I never knew whether it was the tires themselves or if they had just worn funny due to a bad balance or alignment.
I had the old style STTs (like the old BFG MT) on my B2 a long time ago and they were stupid loud, way louder than my swampers. Good tires though.

Superlift shocks and add-a-leafs finally arrived yesterday. Put em in and went for a drive and they ride 100% better than stock. They make the front end much less clunky after cranking the t-bars. Add-a-leafs gave me an 1 1/2 to 2 inches of lift in the rear. Both items were ordered from www.fatbobsgarage.com. Though i haven't had them on for even 24 hours I would still recommend these for anyone with a decent t-bar crank.

Got a quote on STT's of $640 30x9.50x15 set mounted and balanced with a 40k mile warranty which is unheard of for a MT style of tire. I was gonna go with the BFG KM2 but the dealer said there's been too many problems with wearing out at 15-17k. I'll post some pics when I get them mounted. I'll have the stock steel wheels with rings and caps for sale if anybody's interested. You can see the stocks in my album.

The 267/75s were around 860 after taxes or something but I got them for 580 while they were on sale. I have around 500 miles on them and they're still quiet. Hopefully when I rotate at the next oil change they will be quiet as well. One thing I can't stand is a loud howl due to tires on my daily driver. Thats awesome that they offered a warranty on them. I didn't get a warranty with mine. But I did notice that the cooper discoverer ST had a 50K mile warranty on them, but they just didn't look as badass as the STTs.

I have done one rotation that way with my BFG MT's, no change in noise.
