new stereo system

well today i go into the best car audio places in the city to have my new door speakers installed well i come out with 4 new speakers and plans to get 2 10in subs installed bhiend both seats under the back speakers and i will also be getting a new stereo and of course a amp. i am excited about the new upgrades what do yall think about it

for both subs is 240 and they are JL audio same as my door speakers and ones bhiend the seats. the boxes for the subs are 70 bucks for the pair the amp kit is 63 when i go get everything installed they said it would be free my new stereo is going to be a clairion and of course i need a dash kit and harness for the new stereo and the amp is going to be a pioneer i think not to sure

i think you're probably wasting your money, and would have probably been cheaper yourself.... but some people don't have the time/patience/etc to do it yourself.

you'll pick up random tidbits of information on here, and you should use them every chance you get.


i never thought i'd be able to do anything with my truck, and i just installed my own speakers. now this may not seem like alot, but it is if you knew my knowledge about auto stuff before this lol.


ask alot of questions, and read alot of threads, you'll learn alot fast.

i mean its not the speakers im worried about its wiring the subs and making it look like it was done at a shop not in my drive way in about 30 mins

Yeah. reading a lot of threads and diagrams is how i learned to install my stereo from the ground up. i rewired it and everything. i never thought i could do it but i did. Its easy. Thank you ranger station! I'm so happy!

all you need to do is get you a good HAYNES book 4 your truck it will walk u through simple stuff but it saves money doing it on your own .
