new radiator, upgrade???

ok, got a 3.0L ranger, standard trans, i hit a deer the other day, put a hole in the radiator... before i get a used replacement, is there a bigger stock radiator i could put in? is the 4.0 radiator the same size? or maybe an explorer radiator? i just would rather upgrade while i have a chance, if they are the same, screw it. any help would be appreciated.

i replaced mine with a duel core radiator but i had to replace the fan shroud

well, im broke, so i was looking for a stock one i could find in a junk yard.

is a regular 4.0 ranger radiator the same size as a 3.0L? or no? explorer radiators are easy to come by if they are bigger, but almost all of them have atf cooler built in. are the hoses the same size as the 3.0? thanks for all the help guys

Look for one with an auto trans, it will have the 2 core rad. You just won't use tranny cooler is all.

sorry to bring this up again, but does anyone know for sure if the hoses are the same size? 4.0-3.0?

Not sure on the size of the hoses between the 2 motors. I do know when I installed my 2 row radiator I had no problems with my 3.0 hoses fitting onto the radiator upper or lower. If your concerned about the 3L hoses fitting on there, they will.

It's been 2 months I would think you would have gotten this radiator and put it in already.
