new mustang vs. camaro vs. challenger comparison

Here is what I mean.

Mondeo - Damn sexy for a Sedan, and a good handler to boot.

Then, the Fusion. The car doesn't handle for crap, and that's not all. It's called the Fusion, just like Gillette's new razor. I wonder if they HAD to call it that since they stole the grille styling from Gillette's last razor.

The Fusion looks better in the "tail lights". The Mondeo is ass ugly. I would rank the Mondeo in the same group wtih the Honda Element, ugly ass rears!

With a rear like that, you don't want it to pass you.

I guess looks truly are subjective. I don't find the Fusion more attractive at any angle. It's a shame if you don't want the Mondeo to pass the Fusion though, because it will.

It is really simple, to me the "current" Fusion is one of the best sedan looks wise Ford has released. Ever. Inside it is rather comfortable and while they usually have asthmatic engines, they can bring in respectable fuel economy. Now I haven't seen or been in the Mondeo in person, but at least on looks, I will take the Fusion.

I think Ford did a really, really good job with the (current) Fusion. It's good looking, solid, quiet, extremely efficient, and wonderful to drive. Absolutely wonderful. I wish I had more chances to drive it. I wish I could buy it!!!

They're a deeply underrated car... Oh yeah, Ford is actually starting the process of pulling their heads out of their asses now arn't they... 2010 is going to be an interesting year to say the least.

Wait 'til the 2010 Taurus SHO hits the road.

Twin turbo, 365HP, and AWD. For around $38k.

Ford's got some good stuff coming. But like Jason mentioned, the rest of the world seems to get the good stuff either sooner or exclusively.

I wish we could get a Ford Falcon.

Europe has different emissions and safety standards so manufacturers can build and sell different models with different options over there. As for the original topic, the 'Stang just flat out looks better than either of the other two. The power difference in the base model is not a big issue. Bottom line is, buy what you like and feel more comfortable driving. I don't care if it's a Yugo if it gets you from a-b reliably. People get so caught up in how fast or how well it corners or whatever. But really, what do you use your car for mostly? Commuting I bet. Few if any of us daily go out and see if they can pull G's on the street. We don't drive 180 mph nor do we try to get to the next redlight in less than 5 seconds. Sure I like power and handling, but I rarely use it. My Ranger is gonna have a V-8 in the next week or so (if plans go right) but it will still primarily be a daily driver to get back and forth to work. And at about 70 mph for the most part. I am quite sure I will see what it can do now and then.

I can't testify for the camaro or challenger.. but my buddy has a new GT500 with a couple hop ups (600hp to the rear wheel) and that car is insane..too bad the stock driveline couldn't hold up.

Eruropes standards and actually more strict except in the case of diesels. Euro3 makes CARB look like the emissions rules from the NHRA.
