Thought I'd post my first message in here, get the juices flowing.

Joined because I'm looking at building another trail (very) capable rig and am looking at the Ranger platform.

Most likely going to add a Ranger extra-cab to an Early Bronco frame, go custom suspension, roller 351 MAF SEFI, AOD, Atlas route, but not convinced as yet.

Wanted to see what the folks on here are building and why.

There's several very capable trail rigs on here, and I'm looking forward to seeing your build :icon_thumby:
I like the ranger platform because it's a small truck, tough as nails, and it's a Ford. Perfect :D

Your confused... LOL. Ranger platform on an EB platform...

How about... 93-97 Super Cab Ranger, 15" bobbed from rear of bed, Dana 60 front, 14bolt FF rear, 5.13:1 gears, 4link front & rear, full hydro steering, Coil overs, 40" tires, lockers front and rear, strong custom bumpers, 12K winch, 6pt interior roll cage, rock sliders, on-board air.
Now that's a good plan, along with the powertrain you want.

I'd vote for a 5.0 swap. Easy to do and find parts for. :icon_thumby:
