New Lift

So i have an unrelated question for Railman and slowvo, I currently have 2in coil spacers and this summer I will probably do a 64in swap. But my question is which tire size would you guys recommend 32's like railman or 31's like slowvo?

well, only rubbing issues i had was on the forward edges of the rear wheel openings....

if you keep the stock flare and trim behind it on the forward edge some you should be fine to run the 32's :icon_thumby:

until i could find me a steel or aluminum one piece and Rick's truck ( RangerSVT ) was down and we had swapped in a aluminum one piece for him....i "borrowed" it :D

well, after searching high and low for one....i finally bit the bullet and had a new one built for me.....

here it is with the aluminum and my old 2 piece....

looks good. do you have a body lift? cause my old 86 ranger did and she looked like the back of the cab and the front of the pan was higher so she was almost shaped like this /\ lol and i noticed yours got a bit of that too

well, Tim is his name, and 2nd Time Around is the name of his shop located in Chandler, IN ( bout an hour from me )...whenever you are ready let me know and i will get ya the info....

if ya do find a aluminum one, you will need to trim the gas tank skid plate for off-road use....as you can see by the rub marks ( i trimmed mine after i rubbed it )

Body mounts

My mounts did that too pickin up some water jugs on a horrid loggin road on the FT Campbell back 40 about a yr ago. Drove around a week like that (hoping the cab didn't slide off in a turn onto a car, everyone lookin at it and the cops pullin me over) waitin for the 3" BL to come in to do it all at once. My perches were rusted out and didn't have the welder yet, so I sandwiched some thick rural king fender washers top and bottom of the perches, new bolts, body mount, body lift and threw the air gun to em. No problems since but haven't extremely twisted er up sideways. Will see what happens, got a welder now so if they don't hold, they will!!!
