New job after 14 years.

Every cockpit needs an experienced FO. Sounds like you're the right man for the job.

I thank you very much. I will try to do my best to be an integral part of the crew. Learning to check my ego and let someone else have the reigns after so many years of being in charge is going to be the challenge. I hope I'm up to the job.

Finished the first day of training and it sounds like this is a very quality place to work.

CaptJay......you got $6.50 more a month?????????????

and you still quit????????????

annnnnnd another thing.......it ain't really flyin unless somebody's shootin at cha..................

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahhahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa

So now I know where this ice, snow and deep freeze temps came from, you brought it with you! thanks for nothin. j/k,congrats Jay Bob,wishing you all the success and happiness that comes with new adventure.:icon_thumby:

I changed jobs a year ago,as my union fell to crap, but have enjoyed extensive travel as a result of the new job and haven't looked back.

Yes, still quit. Want to know what's really sick? I took a $43.00/hr pay cut. That's what really hurts.

They can't shoot at us anymore. Between the being groped as you come in and then get fully body naked pictures you can't shoot at me. Even if you could, we're sequestered behind a kevlar door. Much safer then hanging out an open door with a 50.

If you're training at Air Tran and the heat quits, I did not do the last 2 inspections, another tech did.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahhahahahahaaaaaa......weeze......

sic em CAPTJAY.........sic em...........

Just what i was thinking.....never be afraid to tell the captain--"if you do that....we'll probably die"......

Your off the hook. I'm not at Air Tran/SW. Do you work for them? After the buy out you could be in a very good place.

Not a problem. I was the Capt for 12 years, I'm not going to let anything go tooooooooooooooooooo far.

Na, they seem to be pretty good and you don't ever hear me not talking my mind. I just have to tone it down a few notches.

good luck to you man. After my company was bought out, I had to tone it down acouple of notches too. Put up with the BS for a while and everything will be ok.

Yea...no shit!!!....My friend was sitting right seat on a LJ35, when the left engine went full power, on takeoff, with no throttle response. They swerved all over the runway at 100+, and the capt. froze up!!! My friend had to take control, pull T-bars, and shut it down....They still ended up off the side of the runway, tore the gear and 1 tip tank off. He got out...but had to go back in, (with fuel pouring out of the wing)cause the capt. was still buckled in his seat in shock...Thankfuly, they both got out with no injuries!!! Then they had to deal with the NTSB....and thats a whole other story!!!

The meds help me ignore those voices.........................they're still there---I just ignore them......;missingteeth;

Hmmm, wild guess but... did you switch from a regional carrier to a major carrier?

If you did and it's not AirTran, Ima say I hope to see you flying. I'm a mild flyer on Delta. It'll be an honor to be flown around by a fellow RBVer, even if it is first officer.

BTW, takes a lot of guts to venture into the unknown like that but I wish you and our airline industry the best of luck. I'm an aircraft mech, but I'm still in school training to become an Aero Engineer, so I'm definitely hoping for growth and development!
