hi, im riley, i have a 2002 ford ranger, xlt, extended cab, 4x4.
we've had this truck for about 5 yrs, but my mom just gave it to me since i sold my explorer.

ive been a member of explorerforum.com for months, and have posted about the ranger on there too, but i figured since its what im driving now, i should sign up on a ranger forum!

I checked out your thread. How does it sound with it streight piped like that? Does it tend to backfire when you let off the gas with it in gear?

i really only get that crackly raspy sound if the throttle has been opened more than 80% and then is instantly closed, just from the abrupt change in pressure, but its not too bad at all.
and i hope to eliminate that completely once i find a good deal on a single chambered muffler.
