New heart for the Chevy

I scrapped the truck. found a rust hole in the frame....... Sold a ton (possibly literally) of parts off it.

going to assume it was pretty big to not try to :icon_welder:

not going to trust something to tow 9000 pounds with a patched frame. It came down to with a rusted frame it wasn't worth a new engine....... or even a used engine. Next vehicle will be from outside the rust belt.

That block is junk.

you know, I finally did get that block back together and running with a DB2 mechanical injector pump. Sold it to a guy to run his generator..... it runs fine at idle with no ill affects which is all it does ..... goes from Idle to 1000 rpms.

Hey BDAB looks like I may be getting a old Chevy as a spare/backup/tow rig. It's from your trucks era a 77 C20 long bed with a big ole 454 on er.

mine was a 94....... but a 77 (if its not rusted out) is a nice score.....

Has a bit of rust but I dont think its to bad from what it sounds, needs a tune up and exhaust manifolds but for 1200 bucks and coming with a topper and a slide in camper shouldnt be too bad a deal.

Gotta love connections. Will see if I can get pics.
