WHAT! There are plenty of places. You can up on snowmobile trails and all. Ill Try and get pics of my uncle wheeling up there!!!

This is just off rattlesnake run. Rattlesnake run is on the map but bot maintained at all. 4x4 trucks only! They even have warning signs up for that road.

No places to go wheeling? Pennsylvania is FILLED with places to go wheeling. I know that from Hazleton down to Frackville there are strip mines which are all connected by different trails which are wide enough to take a truck on. And I have heard that you can get from Frackville down to Minersville but from there on down you have to buy a permit from the coal company every year to be on their property. I have never ventured down past the Minersville area so I don't know about your general location but i'm sure there is something. That is just what is along I81, there is also Trevorton, the Mount Carmel/Centralia area, and a whole bunch more that I can't think of at the moment.

Centralia .

There is amazing history to that place. I have been there and walked the old road that was closed due to the fire! Sadly I believe it has been taken off the map. PA dropped the centralia zip code over a year ago!!!! If im not mistaken Centralia is about a good hours drive from Muncy!

centralia is block off now and its a huge fine if you caught in there now and not right around muncy there arent places to go wheeling like with in 20 miles

Yea where the trails im talking about they are 45min above Williamsport. They really blocked off Centralia last time I heard there were still like 4 people living there. So they had to have a fire department, and post office bec of those 4 people! It's sad that it was all started over people burning trash!

Yeah but it's such a cool place! It's funny because when you come up to the "only" four way stop signs you just think it's an intersection in the middle of nowhere with a few random countryside houses. But if you actually turn off on some of those abandoned roads it's pretty freaky because they just fade away into the weeds. The funny part is that the place had it's zip code taken away but when I drove through there a couple of months ago they still had their own municipal building which looked like it has been maintained. There are still families living in like four or five houses there too but that's only because they refused to leave. Every time I drive through there I get a little freaked out because you never know if the ground is gonna open up again underneath Rt. 54!

Yea I would say it was about 3 years ago I walked down the closed off road I guess RT 54 and you looked down the road all vegitation on both sides were gone and the road looked like a roller coaster! I came apon cracks in the road and went no farther! The smoke and steam rising from the ground. I saw pics of a a thermo. at the 119 degree mark on that road. Its been burning since 1968 I believe I wonder how much longer it will countine!

they didnt block off the people that live there where the old road ust to go after you went down the hill and could go up over the small pile of dirt and go up the old road well that little pile of dirt is about 10 to 15 feet tall now and you cant get over it and you get the fine if you on the old road with a vehicle you can still go and walk up in there the mine company doesn't want people in there

Ok that makes sense I knew they would not shut down the new main road! But yea that pile of dirt used to be like 5 foot tall. I guess they added to it.
