While I will give you that he is less than halfway through his presidency, Obama is also showing all the classic signs of a FAILED presidency.

Far from connecting with the American public, he has managed to alienate most of them, hasn't only not met all his campaign goals, but has yet to meet a single one, and hasn't done a durn thing to move towards his promised "change".

He came in on a whirlwind of promised change and then promptly surrounded himself with old-guard politicians who will resist it at every step. He has already failed.
