New car suggestions

If you're looking at FWD cars now, how about a used Mini? Just make sure you get one with a stick shift. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!

They look really nice in British racing green, yellow or dark blue.

Ford Focus.

What's wrong with that? New, they're less than 10K.

I think a Focus is more compact economy (except the SVT and maybe the ST) than sport coupe or Sport sedan. and doesn't really compare to the cars he is looking at.

.

I had a 1st gen DSM (Eclipse,Talon, Laser). Common problems for the 2nd gen is crank walk when used with high hp apps. Most people swap out the 2nd gen motor for a 1st gen one.

2 generation died around 2000, not for sure when the third died but the current rounded one looks pretty sharp

A Focus can be pretty sporty depending how it is optioned.

I back the Grand Prix all the way.............. they are fast, reliable, well priced and comfortable.

My step-dad just bought an 08 model, but still drives his 1998 to work everyday 258k miles has never had a tune-up, ac still works and it still whips through the turns. He swears by em, I believe it after seeing what "the terminator" has done (we call it that because he's hit 5 deer and one ripped his mirror off leaving bare wires like the terminators arm in t2)

Maintenance on them is low, they are pretty abundant. Mileage is 26+

Those Lincoln LS cars were pretty sweet. I dated a girl that had a black one with tan leather and black 20s on it. It had a v-8 that would pin you in the seat. Luxury and performance with low to mid 20s in the mpg department.

My girlfriend has a 2010 and I love it. It's pretty quick, even with the auto. I might just like it since it's new and shiny but I think it's nice. And it gets about 27/38 or better.

You could always go with a 3rd gen rx7Or a miata there sporty and insurance isn't to bad it is sill considered a sports car but generally nice decent leg room decent ride and good looks

Or a Grand Am... My girlfriend has one with the 3.8L v6 and it still manages decent mileage atleast 20 city and more on the highway, and they can be found in manuals. (actually get the manual! cause I had the pleasure of trying to figure out what is wrong with her auto and it has no fluid stick, the fill point is right under the exhaust pipe and you have to remove the right front tire and remove a sensor to check the fluid all while the car is running :annoyed: ).

Other then that its a nice car. Apart from the bad plastic interiors but most chevys are like that nayways....

Well, I've found a few to look at. Unfortunately most of them are in other cities, so I have to wait until the weekend to go see them. I did find a 93 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 with the works anfd 34000 original miles for 9 grand.

Grand Am did not come with a 3.8L. 3.3L or 3.4L in later models

That's one I forgot about (along with the Stealth). Sounds promising.

The older 300ZX is another option. In good condition they still look good, more so with the right set of wheels.
