I just replaced my stock speakers all 4 with Kicker 680.2 6x8 60rms peak 180 a piece. Also put in 2 new tweeters. Now I want subs. Here's a layout of my back area.
All together widthand hieght is 51''x15''
Breaking it down I have a seperation(Just a raise in the cab nothing I put there/stock) piece in the middle dividing both sides into 21 3/4'' the serperator has a 1-3/4'' raise as a slope that spans 7-1/2''. for the backseats I have a clearance of starting closet to the doors cause the backseats are slanted bottom of seat to floor is 7-1/4'' towards middle 8-3/4'' for both sides.
I wanted to fit 2 12'' subs with an amp in there somewhere yet still have that room for two people to get into the back if I needed it. I still have to make boxes aswell.
Def no 15'' subs nothing insanely stupid. Still want to move the front seats back a little if needed too aswell.

Thought about getting 2 Kicker CVX 12''.
I'd love to hear everyone's personally opinion on there subs and amps. I've been learning about them lately and know enough about subs but still absolutly nothing about amps and how I should hook subs up to them. Any help would be great.
Thanks

take a look around the forums... plenty of other people's setups are on here.

plenty of learning tools also on this forum, and check out crutchfield.com. they also have an extensive knowledge base. before you start shopping around and asking for help, google alot of stuff. learn how everything works, and how to wire everything, and what not. because if we answer you, we will most likely use terms that are foreign to you, if you don't know anything about car audio.

thanks,
Jared

if your going to get 2 12"s then you will have to get shallow mount ones and mount the amp on the back panel, mtx makes a thunderform with 2 tens or twelves,i would get one and change the subs in it with somethin like pioneer or memphis

I know enough to get by. I thought about either getting cvx or shallows but the cvx 12 push 750 rms but don't think they come in shallows. People aren't really inpressed by the shallow subwoofers. by what I read at least. I have yet to hear from someone who really enjoys them. I'd rather have sp cause I don't blast to everything I listen too. Like clean cut nice sound BUT I wouldn't mind showing off some beats to the guy sitting next to me at the red light.

i work right beside a stereo shop and they use shallows for some of their competition setups and they sound awesome

Really what kind are they?

Don't mix up shallow subs and slim subs. There are alot of subs with 5 ish inch mounting depth, But there slim. kickers cvt is slim but not shallow. You have to find the limits of your space and design. Then find a sub that fits it.

I personally have heard the Kenwood shallow mount 12" sub, not only does it sound good but it hits hard as well. Oh and not too start anything, but why would you buy an MTX thunderform and swap out the subs for Pioneer? Memphis, maybe, but not Pioneer.

Peak power is like saying you have a really big pecker, those who know better don't care.

Alright guys I'm gunna go with 2 KICKER® CVX12 12" CVX SUBWOOFERS ROUND L7 D4 06CVX124

ANyone have a good suggestion for an amp?
Oh and I still have the stock radio in the dash, does it really matter if I trade it out?

i would run a memphis mclass 1500d wire your subs in parallel get 1500 rms at 1 ohm be perfect for your subs but if u want something cheaper a autotek sm-1500d would work good to and you can use your factory radio but you get better quaitly out of a aftermarket
