Never buying a vehicle from gm.

if the guy said, yes, ill pay you full price, ill be here tomorrow to pick it up and you sold it to someone else, id call you an a-whole.
your story is completely irrelevant.
and it wasn't really a chance, ive never had a dealership do that before.
you gotta b joking with that contract stuff.
like cmon the least they could have done is called and said hey if you want it come in with a downpayment.
and the sales people make money even when they dont sell vehicles...... they just make more money when they sell vehicles.
either way it was terrible business practice, as soon as i had test drove it i should have been put down as first priority buyer, i was first to be interested i should have been givin first dibs, thats how i do my business.
either way i hate capital gm.
actually the ford dealer when i went to look at trucks the guy just said "i gotta go talk to someone ill be right back." waited for 1/2 hour before getting fed up and leaving.
i've had good experiences with all dealerships except those 2 (and i've delt with at least 25 dealers)

so dont tell me i need a frikkin contract to take a night to think on it. i was doing what i should have an d they were givin crap service.
end of story.
and i hate gm anyways.
they suck

You are nuts. Go get a life. You are the "a-whole."

Salesmen have to sell cars to make money. They get fronted money, but have to earn it back by selling cars. They owe it back if they don't sell them. If they don't sell a minum number of cars--unrelated to the price--they are out. To make decent money, they have to sell above and beyond. The turnover rate is high because they get fed up and quit or get fired. They want to sell the minum number of cars to keep their jobs so they want to make you a deal so you will buy it, but if they make you too good of a deal they don't get paid. The office will let them give you their commission to move the car--you wouldn't know it but they just wouldn't get their money. They spend hours with people, days on the phone, and then the person fights them for the lousy hundred bucks they were going to make on the car. Or worse, uses them to try out a car and then buys it on-line or from another dealership.

i dont know enough about car salesmen to argue, but i know a freind who works at autogallery and clear 10 g's a month. albeit hes a hell of a salesman...

There is absolutely no excuse for what GM did to Saab. They bought the brand in the early nineties, then when everybody thought Saab had a secure future, GM top brass simply sat down and let Saab stagnate.

Saab is another victim of GM's stupid and useless management. GM is the one to blame for Saab's death and you damn well know that.
