Not really, but the black out on the hood lessens the sun reflection and makes it easier to see when trail riding or serious wheeling!!! Besides I have seen shows and articles in magazines about black out hood schemes and the temps were not any hotter with black or any other color!!!
Well not to argue, but Ive seen shows that proved the black paint gets hotter.
I think Mythbusters had a show on it if I recall.
Not sure what blackout hood schemes are, but if it is flat black/matte black paint, then it wouldnt reflect the suns rays. It absorbs the heat though.
