Manual
Hi,

My '84 2.8 bronc is experiencing auto choke trouble. Would really
like to install a manual. Can anyone who has done this give me a
briefing on how they did theirs (where exactly to connect it
to on choke arm) and how routed to the inside of the cab ?
Searching the forums, has some topics, but does not address my questions.
Thank you for your time and help.

There used to be kits available to do this, Don't know where you could find one now though. The kit consisted of a round plastic piece to replace the auto choke that had an arm inside that hooked onto the choke arm and on the outside there was another arm that clamped onto the shaft. The cable was attached to the other end of that arm. The cable was something like a lawnmower throttle cable. don't know if that was any help.

My dad put a manual choke on his I might be able to get pictures of it for you.

Thanks Martin and Danger,
that would be great, if it
isn't too much of a hassle,
otherwise I'll just wing it.
Do appreciate the responses guys.

Why doncha simply repair the auto choke? They are simple and easy to repair.. Seems like the thing to do to me.

Jim,
that would be a thought, except it
appears it is not all there anyway....
(from what the manual shows and photos
I've been able to find)

thanks again
