Ok, so I am currently in the finishing stages of prepping for my PW/L upgrade.

I'm trying to keep the wires true to the 1st gen setup because I like the look of the early switches the best. That means I have to use the Up and Down relays for the locks.

I have relays. The just so happen to be attached to a remote keyless entry module that works. Since there isn't too much difference in the way it'd be wired to include the RKE module, I see no reason to separate them.

The real question is, where to put it?:icon_confused::icon_confused:

I'm thinking near, and slightly above the inertia switch. Then I just gotta figure out the how of mounting it.

My other best option is probably behind the jump seats, and that is a lot of extra wire to run, and a lot of interior panels to take off.

under the dash like a normal person LOL

Except I am running out of room under the dash. :bawling:

Guess Kip and I can just pull the whole dash out and I can try to re-arrange some stuff.

Ok, so RKE, or Glove box?

Well I think I found a spot that the RKE module will fit, and mount reasonably, and not have to run 70 feet of extra wires.

But it involves a bit of a choice. It will fit in the glove box. I can then lock the box and only open it up for servicing the system. The draw back being that I can't use my glove box for anything anymore. On the other hand, I don't keep much in there anyway, and I have my Explorer center console with the storage compartment in it that has more room than the glove box.
