Need some help with a problem.


umm...just throwing this in the mix, but have you considered your COILS?

I had a car that gave me the EXACT same issues. The coil was cracked, but it would only show once the engine was hot because the heat would cause the coil to expand and open up any damage even more.

I even brought it to the garage where they replaced the o2 sensors, cat converters and did a whole battery of tests. It wasn't 'till they gave up and let me take it home that i decided to give it a try.

NOTE:Keep in mind, in this case, when they were checking for spark, there WAS spark because the coil was fine until the engine heated up.
 
99, that was my next guess.... cuz as soon as you start it cold it seem ok... then once it warms up for a little while is where you can really start to hear it . as far as a vaccum leak.. i checked everything with carb cleaner and didnt find anything.
 
swapped the fuel pressure regulator today and the coil pack.. still nothing.. drove it around for a while and its Running EXTREMELY rich.. pulled codes an all i get is maf sensor codes voltage past max and below minimum
 
do you still have the rich and lean codes?

If so, you might have gotten your O2 wires crossed.

plugs
wires
coil
02s
maf sensor
coolant temp sensor
tps sensor
fuel pressure regulator
i even took the cat off today to see if maybe it was plugged

Now when you start the truck it runs like crap.. very rough it even died once. its running extremely rich. the snow is all black moisture coming of the exhaust pipe.

could i still have a faulty maf sensor? even tho its brand new and works on my buddies 93 rangeR?


yesterday i change a few of the above mentioned items and took it for a ride.. with your foot about half throttle you can feel it running kinda rough and if you then push it to the floor its like it clears up and runs fine.... iam Completely STUMPED . after it warmed up for a while it started to run really rough and now it starts up rough and runs like poo
